i think that is a stupid reason not to like something.

Some people dont like them for the simple fact that they were made in china. i think the custom classics are great amps.they were that last production ac30's to use an all birch ply cab and a tube rectifier. once i stopped using the standby ive had zero problems. i used to use it and the rectifier tube went bad fast and it started blowing fuses. I put all new jj tubes in it and they seemed to give the amp a bit more headroom and they also seemed to make it "warmer", whatever that means.Īlso, ive done the research and decided to never use the standby on this amp.

Seymour duncan 805.this was a great pedal with the vox and i hate myself for getting rid of it. it added a high end fizz at any setting and i hated it. Ts9.this was ok but added way too much midrange.īoss blues driver.to me, this was the worst. I have tried several od pedals with this amp and found some sound great and others just plain sound like crap.īoss super overdrive.sounds great through a marshall but was kinda nasal with the vox. treble and bass are usually at around noon.same for the cut. I like to link the channels and blend the volumes to whatever sounds right at the time. I have the cc2x and i like to keep it on the 22 watt setting and also the modern setting.
